Jessica Biel is not a fan of restaurants’ giant proportions, claiming she usually eats only half a meal and then sends the rest back. The 27-year-old actress said she tries to keep her diet balanced.
"I say: 'Eat things you like, but eat them in smaller portions.' I always cut things in half and send half back. I'm not perfect, I don't always do those things, but that's the goal!
"If there's something I want to try, then I try it. But I have a bite, not the whole thing. That's what you have to do," Biel says, according to USA Today.
For us common folk who aren’t okay with wasting food that we paid for, a more viable option is to ask for a to-go container at the beginning of the meal.
Halve your portions before you begin eating and pack away half for later. Besides the immediate benefit of avoiding an overstuffed belly, you can stretch your dollars by paying a one-meal price for two meals.
