The Illusionist actress is joining a group of celebrity climbers, including actress Isabel Lucas and singers Lupe Fiasco and Kenna, for the 'Summit on the Summit' expedition in January.

The trek hopes to raise awareness about the need for clean water worldwide.

Speaking about the trip, Jessica said: "This is a basic human necessity that needs to be addressed now. I want to help any way I can in order to raise awareness toward the life-threatening clean water crisis happening not only in Africa but around the world."

Jessica's boyfriend, SexyBack star Justin Timberlake, previously stated he was planning to join in the climb, which will also raise money for the Children's Safe Drinking Water Program, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and PlayPumps International.

When Jessica Biel, Lupe Fiasco and Isabel Lucas get together in Africa, they'll have nowhere to go but up. The entertainers have signed on to climb the continent's highest peak – Mt. Kilimanjaro, at more than 19,000 feet – to raise awareness about the need for clean water worldwide. The Summit on the Summit expedition, set for January, is the brainchild of singer and producer Kenna. His father suffered from waterborne diseases as a child in Ethiopia. "This is a basic human necessity that needs to be addressed now," Biel said in a statement, adding that she's proud to climb Kilimanjaro with the celebrity team "to help any way I can in order to raise awareness toward the life-threatening clean water crisis happening not only in Africa but around the world."

Actress Jessica Biel will join her boyfriend Justin Timberlake to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for charity.

The actress has joined the team of celebrities recruited by Ethiopian-born singer Kenna to scale the 5,895-metre African peak as part of a fundraising and awareness effort for the worldwide water crisis, reported imdb.com.

She admits she only signed up for the trek after getting to know that more than a billion people in the world have no access to drinkable water.

The girlfriend of singer Justin Timberlake completes the line-up for the film, which is being filmed in Canada. Jessica will play ladies' man Face's love interest, who is also an army general pursuing the group of vigilantes.

Meanwhile, South African actor Sharlto Copley, who recently appeared in District 9, is set to play Murdoch in the new film. The line-up of replacements for the original cast has been the subject of much debate and controversy, even before any of the names were announced.

UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's role as infamous character B.A.Baracus has led to outcry amongst both fans of the original show, and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fans alike.

Many have poured scorn on the choice of actors who will appear in the new film, however Jessica Biel's presence is sure to keep a few of the male contingent happy.

Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper are also signed up as members of the new A-Team - which is scheduled for release in late 2010. Terminator director James Cameron is the film's producer, while Joe Carnahan directs.

The rumors started last week that, as his follow-up to District 9, Sharlto Copley would take a role as Captain H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdoch in the A-Team movie. Now the rumors have made it to Variety, with an added twist-- Copley is bringing Jessica Biel with him.

The trades say that Biel will play the ex-girlfriend of Bradley Cooper's character, Faceman, while Liam Neeson and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson remain as the other members of the elite squad. None of this casting is official yet, of course, and the Copley news remains the most interesting part, given that everyone wants more of him after his District 9 acting debut. But Jessica Biel's fans, and I have to assume there are many, probably won't be complaining about her showing up either.

Joined by a few gal pals, the “7th Heaven” hottie looked cute and casual in a brown top with a navy cardigan, distressed jeans, and sandals.

 As of late, Jessica has been spending most of her time on the upcoming sure-to-be hit date movie “Valentine’s Day” in Los Angeles.

Miss Biel is among many big-name actors in the flick, including Julia Roberts, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, and Bradley Cooper.
